Turquoise Curl

I painted this for one color. When a wave stands up and the light shoots through the hollow, the water turns that clear jewel turquoise for a heartbeat, and then it is gone. I worked the foam thick with the palette knife so the crest catches real light, and left the beach in front soft and plain so nothing competes with the curl.
